I’m going to be really honest with you, 2019 was a really hard year personally for me. Though my business grew beyond what I could have ever imagined and I’m so grateful for it, I spent the last half of my year checked out due to intense grief.

I’m going to be really honest with you, 2019 was a really hard year personally for me. Though my business grew beyond what I could have ever imagined and I’m so grateful for it, I spent the last half of my year checked out due to intense grief.

In this week’s episode, I sit down with my boyfriend Nick as we discuss what 2019 was like for both of us, both professionally and personally, and open up about things we’ve never shared before.

Here are a few things that we discuss in this episode:

  • Launching Rock Your Business at the beginning of 2019 and all the anxiety and excitement that led up to it (it was a sweaty couple of weeks, friends).

  • Nicks honest thoughts on what living with someone who is self-employed and creative when he naturally loves structure and rhythm. We discuss if he wishes I had a more concrete schedule (you’ll probably be surprised at his answer)!

  • Nick took a four-month sabbatical. Did he get bored? What is a sabbatical? Did he accomplish his goal of making a lot of bread?

  • How May 7th was one of the hardest and saddest days of our lives and how we’ve handled the grief since then (as well as what it meant to our professional and personal lives since that day).

  • Through tragedy, how we built a “new normal” and what closing out one of the hardest years of our lives means going into 2020.

Though 2019 was a tough year personally, I am so grateful to everyone who has invested in this podcast, has invested in my online education, my salon clients, as well as my friends, family, and online community that we learned we can depend on through anything.  2020 is going to be an amazing year and I’m so excited to kick it off with this recap!
