WARNING: This episode may ruffle some tail feathers (that’s a saying right?).
One of the most commonly asked questions by you guys is how I stay motivated and in true Dawn fashion, I’m bringing my honest answers. This one may surprise you. It may make you feel uncomfortable. It may make you feel emotional, but I promise it’ll be worth it so stick with me.
How to stay motivated? I stay focused. And by staying focused, I mute and unfollow people all the time on social media. No one is safe from my mute button. Friends? Muted. Family. Muted. Clients. Muted. Why? Because it makes me lose my focus. Constant stories and social media posts cause me anxiety, and It’s just not worth it to keep following people if it’s making me feel overwhelmed.

What you’ll hear in this episode:
-
The importance of knowing your why (and why it’s so important).
-
How one therapist asked me one question that changed everything for me (grab a tissue).
-
Why caring for yourself always has to come first before you try helping someone else.
-
How to communicate your boundaries to friends and family who are upset when they find out that you don’t see their posts on purpose (yikes!).
Want to stay motivated? Prioritize yourself and know your why.
