…I don’t even know what to say right now.
If you’re reading this in real time, you’re probably freaking out about the Coronavirus (along with the rest of the world). This kind of thing can really do a number on anyone, ESPECIALLY us anxious creatives.
So I wanted to offer this light, uplifting moment today. I don’t have answers, I have no solutions, and this is not a pep talk, but I CAN offer you support, understanding, and empathy.
This is a shitty time. It freaking sucks, and we’re allowed to let it suck.

Here’s what I have for you in this special pandemic edition episode:
-
You have permission to deal with this shitstorm however you need to. If you feel the need to shut down, that’s okay. If you just CAN’T shut down, that’s okay too.
-
Put your mental health first, now and always.
-
Some wise words that have helped me cope with this mess over the past few crazy days. (Take it or leave it. Remember, you have permission to embrace what helps you and toss the rest.)
-
I accidentally say “fart” and make myself laugh.
-
The importance of compassion and grace for ourselves and others.
-
I am SO PROUD of my community. My industry has been hit hard, but I’m so glad to be part of such an amazing, supportive group.
-
We’re all in this together. We’re all overwhelmed together. Lend a helping hand and listening ear whenever you can, and it’s also okay to back off if you need to.
-
This is a really shitty time. Let’s just call it what it is.
This episode was scary for me because I really don’t want to misspeak. And by the time you listen to this, things might have changed from when I recorded this.
But I want you to know that whatever you need to do to take care of yourself in times of massive stress, it’s okay.
We’re all different. We all deal with stress and anxiety differently. You’re allowed to use what works for you and toss out the rest.
I’d also like to offer you my Hair Painting Outside the Lines course for FREE until April 1st if you’re using this time to get your learn on and build your skills. I want to help in any way I can, and I hope this will help keep you occupied and grow your business in the long run.
We’re going to get through this together, even if it sucks right now.
Now let’s go binge some Netflix!
