You’re gonna love this one!
In this episode, I chat with Meg Blatt about overcoming anxiety as a business owner, and wow, does she knows her sh*t!
Meg has been around the block with anxiety. She was diagnosed with panic disorder at age 5 and even became unable to leave her house. In her late twenties, she started a business that failed miserably because she was so anxious. But then she worked with a mindset coach and was able to totally turn things around, and she’s now a mindset coach for anxious entrepreneurs.
In this conversation, we discuss how stress, anxiety, fear, and imposter syndrome can mess with our business decisions and relationships. But there are things we can do to work through the anxiety and kick-butt in our businesses anyway!

Here’s what we talk about in this episode:
-
Why understanding what anxiety IS can help you overcome it. (Anxiety isn’t as mysterious as it seems sometimes!)
-
Those fictional fears at the base of our anxiety and why they’re so freaking terrifying. This one blew my mind.
-
The steps to identifying our fears so we can start soothing them, AKA stopping a panic attack before it even happens.
-
We even get into some brain science and learn where in our brain our anxiety and panic comes from. (Hint: It’s the “ballsack” of the brain!)
-
The 3 steps to getting off the anxiety merry-go-round. This includes a SUPER powerful, game-changing trick that would have saved me soooo much trouble if I’d known it like, four years ago.
-
The powerful question that helps me work through anxiety.
-
Our favourite skeleton in the closet: Imposter syndrome, and how allowing myself to be imperfect + admitting that I’m human FREED me in business.
-
I loved this conversation with Meg so much and I learned a ton from her. She’s so knowledgeable in this area and has so much to share with entrepreneurs who struggle with anxiety.
Anxiety doesn’t have to ruin your business. If you listen to just about any successful business owner, you’ll hear a lot about fear and anxiety. It’s just part of the game. And if other people can overcome anxiety and grow a successful business, so can you!
